Ridgmont

Ridgmont is operated by the Bedfordshire Area Group of the Association, taking its name from the Bedfordshire village of Ridgmont where the club was formed over 30 years ago. Appearing recently in Garden Rail, Ridgmont has been built to the scale of 16mm to the foot, running on 32mm gauge track, and was nominated Best Layout in Show in 2023. Ridgmont is 11 x 4.5 metres, and features two running tracks with storage sidings and passing loops giving ample space for “Steaming Up” and storage. It is modelled to a very high standard featuring full scenic treatment which does need to be seen. It also features several dioramas – check out the details in the station buffet, it will make you feel hungry !!
