Warton Road

Warton Road is not to be missed, having recently featured in both Hornby Magazine, and Garden Rail. It is a large Gauge 3 (13.5mm to the foot) standard gauge layout modelled to a high scenic standard. It has a definite GWR flavour, but as the premise is that is a community run heritage line, SR and BR battery powered radio controlled stock, including early DMUs can all be seen running. Indeed everything may be seen, from small 0-4-0 and 0-6-0 tank locos hauling a few wagons or carriages and short autotrains , through to highly polished GWR 45xx and ‘Manor class locomotives, and more modern diesels delivering 100t crude oil tankers.
