Mendip Vale is designed to meet the needs for both an abundant display of moving trains and an interesting and attractive scenic setting. Trains from many different narrow-gauge railways meet at the junction before running off alongside a road and past an old beam engine. With at least two locos at work at any time and more on display at the shed, all amid a country scene full of details, there is always something to see.
Many members of the Severn & Mendip 16mm Group have contributed to this evolving layout over the years to create something which we think represents our varied interests and find appeals to many viewers.
